high school memories
i was reading tony’s comment on our graduation in high school and what he remembers about it.
lets start it off by all writing about our 5 memorable moments in those 4 years.
1.
randy, gatch and i are given a one hour post by mr. lee (physical science teacher) in the first month of 1st year. reason? not observing the one minute bell rule$&*@^^)(^&$$!!
2.
the entire class during 2nd year gets a post courtesy of our biology teacher (i don’t recall her name). this time it is because she discovers that someone has decided to turn the outside area near the windows as their own personal trash dumping site. geesh! class post for littering. we sure looked silly standing there in front of the library
3.
samuel ochinang screaming at me one day for preferring to take notes rather than listen to him during his geometry lectures. i encountered him a few years later teaching in international school. he still looked the same.
4.
we decide to show our class unity by cutting class and attending some practice in gerard's house. as the school bus was entering gate 2, i went up the front of the bus and said i needed to get down. the driver didn’t even ask me why and just stopped. i then walked over to gerards house. there were about 30 or so of us, i think.
5.
we were grouped in sets of 7 or 8 and were required by eva buenaventura to make a presentation from one of the plays taken up in english class. after our presentations, we then get one of her lectures on not having any originality at all as all the groups presented the same piece from the same play (the famous line from that play..”shut up fool! you were never like this before.") it was a play about the army so all of us were wearing cat uniforms.
